What is Açaí?

Açaí (Pronounced AH-SIGH-EE) is the greatest little purple berry the world ever did see.

Originating on the banks of the magnificent amazon, the most bio-diverse ecosystem in the world the ‘wonder berry’ is considered to be one of the most powerful and nutritious foods on this planet or the next. To indigenous tribes, it’s said the seed of the Açaí fruit birthed the Amazon. So now you’re probably thinking, ‘Surely something that good for me, can’t possibly taste good.’ Well, eating your own words has never been so delicious.

Now for the science behind this magical little berry - It contains high levels of essential fatty acids (omega 3’s in particular) known for their cardio and neuro-protective and anti-inflammatory effect. It is super rich in antioxidants to reduce cholesterol, contains 19 different amino acids to optimize brain signaling pathways, is rich in minerals and vitamins (especially calcium and vitamin E) for healthy hair, skin and nails. Açaí is low in sugar so it won’t alter blood sugar levels and is an excellent source of dietary fiber and natural energy.



To make this magical bowl of deliciousness we blend up these frozen wonder berries with some fruit and a dash of juice, coconut water or a milk, we then top it with our special one of a kind handmade granola, some locally sourced honey and fresh fruit.

The Açaí berry originates from Brazil, in South America. It is mainly harvested from the Amazon Rainforest.





Açai is high in good monounsaturated and omega 6 fats and fibre, while also containing protein and very little sugar.
