This recipe is from our very first e-book, containing over 30 Acai bowl and smoothie recipes. It has all of your favs! Including this one, our Pumpkin Pie Spice Smoothie. 

This smoothie is perfect for a cooler Autumn day as the spices are very warming. We roast our pumpkin for this smoothie in coconut nectar or maple syrup, it brings out a bolder flavour in the pumpkin compared to a purée.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup roasted or puréed pumpkin

  • 2 frozen bananas

  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon of your choice of protein, preferably vanilla flavoured

  • ¾ cup coconut milk

  • ¼ cup chai tea, cooled down

  • Zest of ½ orange

  • Sprinkle of pepitas and walnuts on top to finish

Method:

Combine all ingredients into a blender, in no particular order. Give it a whiz until it is smooth and creamy. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
